Vedder River
#1

FISHING: Fair
Chilliwack/Vedder

The river is now fly-fishing only below the Vedder Bridge with the section above the bridge now closed. This week the water levels are up approx 18" after some very warm days of sun. The water is very fishable the past few days after some heavy flow at the end of April. Fly anglers are enjoying the limited fishing pressure, with lots of space for adventur on the water. Steelhead numbers are slowly down but there are still fresh fish moving into the system with some nice hatcheries to be taken. This fishery is an interesting one with the other species such as Dollies, Rainbow and Cutthroat that provide a variety of nice surprises on your fishing excursions.
